Detroit is no longer just the home of Motown, innovative automation and fine entertainment. It’s getting stiff competition as it becomes one of the leading cities for budding entrepreneurs who leave global footprints and set next-wave trends for future business owners.

Detroit native Dr. Jewel Tankard is at the helm of this transformation. The Bravo Thicker Than Water reality series star, global economist and investment strategist is making in her mark in the financial and entrepreneurship space. And she’s putting her money where her faith is—in women.

Her Millionaireress Wealth Conference will convene at the Silver Garden Event Center in Southfield, Michigan on Saturday, April 6, 2019, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. This year’s conference focuses on wealth building, business creation, technology, and innovation.

“I am extremely passionate about women and I want to see every woman independently wealthy whether married or single. And that’s a big goal but we are working on it. The Millionaireress Club actually started out as a book club with me just talking to women about becoming financially successful. And although there is an emergence of women coming to the forefront of business ownership; economically, we are still at the bottom. So many times if you see a woman with a Benz or a big home, we automatically think success, but when you really pull back the covers and look at assets versus liabilities, you see from an ownership and accumulation standpoint, we still have a lot of work to do.”

The almost sold-out conference features a powerful star line up that’s hosted by Arlen Griffin from the Get Up! Morning radio show with Erica Campbell. The conference will help women understand and excel in cryptocurrency, investing, relationship building and expanding their financial portfolios.

“At one point in my life, things began to unravel for me. It was then that I changed my major while at U of M to Economics because I quickly begin to understand that money had patterns and a certain rhythm.  I needed to understand how money worked so that I was not always dependent on a man to take care of me and to live the life that I always dreamed about.  I was blessed to be mentored by several multi-millionaires. The first business that I opened was in Detroit. I owned a Nex-Tel dealership and I partnered with Steven Branden of Steve’s Soul Food and we opened it up on Grand River, and so this conference is my way of paying it forward.”

Participants will be able to partake in super-charged sessions about life and finances, as well as hear dynamic speakers such as Dr. Cindy Trimm, Junetta and George Barnes and spiritual powerhouse Dr. Medina Pullings.

Dr. Tankard has also partnered with Suburban Ford of Ferndale, AP Resources and Fortune Group Real Estate to offer each person that purchases a general or VIP ticket the opportunity to win $10,000 to be used toward a new Ford vehicle of their choice.

Jewel continues to be an empowering business owner who has impacted women through wealth-building in more than ten countries. She truly believes that women can have it all.
