Ready to Rock
There are clearly no red lights in the future of new R&B-Hip Hop group Rock Stea'D.

True, the '90s brought us an influx of girl groups. So many that they all seem to blur together. But MC Brittany Elliott and singer Jessica Lamarre bring a unique twist to the girl group recipe. You won't get any of the matchy-matchiness and cheesy lyrics here. Think along the lines of the idea of Floetry but the feel of TLC. With the release of their mixtape No Red Lights, listeners are getting a taste of the duo's electric, fresh sound and catchy lyrics. There music is a welcomed change from the run-of-the-mill recycled sounds that are blasting through the airwaves today.

Both being veterans in the music business, the ladies met each other through gigs they had dancing in the industry. And, after being in other singing groups that did not pan out, it was only a natural fit to pair together. The result: a storm of press interviews and highly anticipated performances. And to think, all this buzz has been generated over a mixtape. Who knows what is going to happen when their album is released!
