This past weekend, we had the chance to catch-up with reality TV star, Ashlee Akins of OWN TV’s Ready to Love series. In celebration of Valentine’s Day, her brand AA Dimensions launched their first event, the Lovers and Friends Extravaganza, which served singles, couples, and friends with a night of art, entertainment and love.

Since the finale of Ready to Love, Ashlee has been keeping her love-mate, Alexx in her prayers and says she has been continuing to build on her career to keep busy and in positive spirits.

“Valentine’s Day was tough this year; especially because Alexx and I couldn’t be together the way we originally planned, but God is always in control, and right now I am just trusting him through this journey and staying positive for Alexx and for our supporters.”

She explained that she decided to present this event to encourage other women (and men) like herself, who could not necessarily be with their loved one this year, to still celebrate love and have a good time with good people. — She called it the Lovers & Friends Extravaganza because she wanted to incorporate more than just a good time, but also a great show, in light of her appreciation for the arts.

The event took place at the PreGame Lounge in Atlanta, showcasing a musical set which included performances by poetess Grande Beauty, soul singer Ria706, and the official “Socialite of R&B,” Sighren, who closed out the show with her new hit single, Grown Woman. — Dinner was catered and presented by Chef John followed up by AA Dimensions Keto desserts, as guests were entertained and hosted by Chyna Marie of V103. The entire production was a vibe!

Ashlee says that this is just the beginning and that she has all kinds of plans and events in store for her fans and supporters. She says that she is remaining positive for Alexx and praying always for his quick recovery, but that she will be releasing a statement soon regarding their current status and future plans.
