The ceremony highlighting the best of the American fashion industry took place last night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. The awards were hosted by Seth Myers. Presenters included Nicole Kidman, Kerry Washington, Armie Hammer, Mandy Moore, and Diane von Furstenberg.

Honorees included activist Gloria Steinem, Planned Parenthood president Cecil Rhodes, actress and singer, Janelle Monae, who all received the CFDA Board of Directors’ Tribute for their work and achievements in behalf of women throughout the world and their role in the Women’s March. The Fashion Icon Award was posthumously awarded to the late Franca Sozzani, British makeup artist Pat McGrath received The Founder’s Award, The International Award was presented to Demna Gvasalia for his work with Vetements and Balenciaga.

Other recipients include Kenneth Cole, Rick Owens, Stuart Vevers for Coach, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia for Monse, and Raf Simons for both mens and womenswear with Calvin Klein.
