D Rocke is here to prove he has what it takes to take over the rap game. Hailing from New York, the singer, songwriter, and rapper has come a long way, injecting real life experiences into his lyrics and reminding folks that the grind never stops. Embodying his playboy aura since childhood, the rising star is here to put his best foot forward when it comes to the music industry.

Now, he returns to release his newest record titled “Where Were You,” tapping fellow New York rapper RRose RRome. The song arrives on the heels of his debut project titled Losing Friends, inspired directly by the friends and non-believers who came up short when support was needed the most. The message? Dig deep to persevere… always!

D Rocke explains why “Born to lose, built to win” is his favorite quote.

“We all can’t avoid losses at the end of the day. But if you apply yourself, the losses should build up a winner inside you. Losing friends is inspired by my climb to success. I felt like old friends didn’t want more out of life and were dragging me down with the constant petty favors. I was tired of always paying for stuff, I was tired of always feeling like I’m bragging when I’m just talking about my life or what I feel is regular. At that point, I knew I had to change circles. I want my fans to take away that it’s okay to outgrow people as you reach new heights, it’s okay to lose friends because half of them want you to do good but never better than them.”
