Rihanna’s highly anticipated album has had us on our toes for quite some time now and we’re finally getting some more details on what we can expect to hear from the bad gal herself.

Back in June, it was shared that Rihanna wanted to explore her Caribbean roots for a full project but thanks to a new interview with Rolling Stone, we’ve got more information regarding the project!

According to Roc Nation, they reported that Jamaican producers and songwriters have submitted about 500 records so far!

A producer of Rihanna’s new project shared,

“They’re only choosing 10 records. They’ve been having writing camps and trying to keep them quiet for almost a year and a half now. I’ve been flying to Miami, flying to L.A., cutting records nonstop for this project.”

Although an official release date for Rihanna’s ninth album has not been announced, sources say that we can expect to hear a dancehall album.

It has also been reported that Rihanna is working on a pop album as well!
