Legendary Rapper T.I Harris recently began his new career path as a stand up comedian. Yesterday, April 9th TIP Performed his first paid gig at Power 105.1’s April Fools Comedy Jam, which took place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The Annual event featured a Star filled lineup which included comedic performances by Nick Cannon, Eddie Griffin, B. Simone, Rip Michaels, Tony Roberts, Bruce Bruce, Michael Blackson, Deray Davis, Joe Torry, HaHa Davis, Jacob Williams and Ronnie Jordan. The show also featured musical performances by Moneybag Yo and Lil Kim. 

The Atlanta rapper-turned-comedian performed a full 8 minute set. At first introduction to TI Taking the stage 15,000 fans stood and applauded in anticipation of the historical moment. T.I went head first into his comedic performance confident and unapologetic. Untimely the crowd did begin to boo some of the jokes however the set was ended with a standing ovation. “I Felt like I was at the Apollo” T.I Jokingly told reporters. 

Immediately following the historic performance T.I sat down with journalist Queen Tay Yoncé for an exclusive interview. Despite the crowds awkward reaction to his jokes, he remained in good spirits which is extremely admirable. During the interview TIP spoke to the hearts of his fans. “There are 3 versions of ourselves; How the world sees us, How we see us, and who we really are… Follow your dreams and research what it takes to execute and make your dreams possible,” he stated.
