Columbia, South Carolina native, Jazzmine Pressley is currently a student at Georgia State University. Although she studies sports journalism, her true passion is fashion and within the first few seconds of being on her social media, it’s clear to see her unique eye for it with each and every post. In addition to that, she founded her own business titled, Forever Style & Company in which she is able to live out her dream each day. She states, “I always tell people if you do what you like, you won’t be as fulfilled as doing something you absolutely love. I love what I’m doing.” We caught up with the young fashionista to discuss what trends she predicts we’ll see this summer and the inspiration behind Forever Style & Company.

 “Style Is Forever, Babe.”

When did your love for fashion start?

Wow, I had to be like six or seven. But it really came out in middle school when I told my parents I wanted to go to the Fashion Institute of Marketing and Design in Orange County, California to be a fashion designer. They laughed so I settled with shifting my career and decided I wanted to be a clothes buyer for department stores in Atlanta when I grew up (laughs). I would tell my aunt that lives in Atlanta that I want to move there when I grow up and now it just gives me chills because I feel like I’m living in a dream! When I get frustrated she reminds me of my little self. My mom also is really big in fashion. She has a degree in fashion merchandising. She would always dress my brother and me up to the tee!

What inspired you to create Forever Style & Company?

I was in Cali visiting for a couple of days, we went to the fashion district, and I was so inspired. I was just ready to jump into it and create. I legit got everything together in like 60 days. After I settled on a name, I then went and did all the business stuff by making it a legit business. I told a handful of people and kept it pushing. Best decision I ever made. It’s not easy but it’s so rewarding. I always tell myself what I put out is what I’ll get back. I try to show up for myself and FSCO more than anything else I have going on!

Who are some people that you look up to in the fashion industry?

Omg! So many, but as far as fashion houses I LOVE Chanel, vintage Versace, and Louis Vuitton so much. Brands – Omg it’s so many but Zimmerman is my favorite as of now because I’m enjoying the vibrant prints and designs. I have a ton of social media fashionistas I love too, but Nicole Lynell has to be my ULTIMATE favorite right now, only because I’ve watched her grow from the beginning.

What trends do you believe will be trending summer?

Hmm, Neon colors, bright pastel colors, statement earrings! Prints especially the python! Silk maxi dresses too! I’m LOVING the less is more trend too!

What can we expect to see Jazzmine Pressley in the future?

Ah! So much, I’m preparing now for the Summer collection which drops June 21, 2019. I will be hosting my first Atlanta Sip & shop this month as well. As far as the future, I want a showroom. I will be creating pieces soon. Hopefully, by 2020 Forever Style & Co will have custom designs that you can’t find anywhere else! I want anyone to be able to find timeless pieces at a good price!
