Last night, L.A. Hair star, Gocha Hawkins had a watch party for the new season and launched her book Gocha’s Blueprint to Business 101.
Prior to the watch party, there was a panel discussion that allowed fans to ask questions about the book and how to be a successful entrepreneur. Not only were fans in attendance, but some of Gocha’s close friends and family; Toya Wright, Terrence Davidson, and Willie Watkins just to name a few.
What inspired you to write the book?
I educate and do a lot of classes. People always come up to me and ask different questions about being in the business, how to get in the [hair] business, and how to maintain. So that was one of the main reasons why I decided to write the book and give people really quick tips.
What is one beauty product you can’t live without?
My “Gocha Glow”, it’s a bronzer you can use all over your face, you can mix it with your lotion or you can put it straight down your nose just to give you a new glow. You can purchase it at gochasalon.com
What is one hair product you can’t live without?
My dry shampoo, “Paul Mitchell Dry Wash” dry shampoo.
The episode of L.A. Hair that we all watched showed Gocha and Kim Kimble, whose salon Gocha worked at prior to opening her own salon in Atlanta, going up against each other in a hair battle. I won’t tell you who won, but you can catch a rerun and the rest of the season on WEtv every Thursday 9/8 ET/PT.
Gocha’s Blueprint to Business 101 is now available on Amazon.com .
