The 2018 BET Hip Hop Awards took place last night on BET and they surely gave a show worth watching! A night cultivated to honor and enjoy musical performances from hip hop’s finest made for a magical night. The night was full of realness, culture, and  simply the moments we all need at this time in society!

The various cyphers that took place. Especially the lyrical female geniuses that took the stage including Bri Steves, Sharaya J, Neelam, and the legendary Erykah Badu.

Cardi B’s stellar performance, ending with DeRay announcing that she not “one, not two, but four BET Hip Hop Awards.”

And of course, a tribute to Tunechi himself, Lil’ Wayne. A video composed of many artists whom Wayne helped, collaborated with or simply just impacted  their lives. He shared a touching story of survival and honoring those people who “refuse”. Refusing to let his light ever dim and sharing the moments that would forever change his life.
