India Shawn is a whole vibe. One spin of her music, and you’re instantly enchanted by her smooth and sultry voice, feel-good vibes, and undeniable beauty inside and out. Adding her own unique flare to the genre of R&B, the singer-songwriter has been grinding for over a decade, getting her initial start as a member of the writing collective Full Circle. To date, she’s written for everyone from Chris Brown to Keri Hilson, even having the rare opportunity to perform at Kanye West’s Sunday Service.
And while our favorite song by the Los Angeles native has to be “MOVIN” ON” featuring Anderson .Paak, it was about time India Shawn unveiled her highly-anticipated debut album BEFORE WE GO (DEEPER).
On Tuesday, October 18th, India Shawn took her talents to the main stage at The Roxy in Los Angeles, blessing fans in real time with cuts off her new project. Starting off the set with “Cali Love” kicked off the show on a high note, as India Shawn surprised concert-goers with a standout appearance from 6LACK to perform “NOT TOO DEEP.” Immediately, the crowd went crazy, as they sang along word for word.
India was looking beautiful as always in her bedazzled purple dress, with knee-high white boots to match. “MOVIN’ ON” was the perfect grand finale.
