Andy Cohen broke the internet earlier this week announcing a new franchise of the Real Housewives. Everyone knew about Bravo’s filming in Dallas, and expected an announcement for The Real Housewives of Dallas, but what no one saw coming was the addition of a BRAND NEW African American ensemble Housewives cast, The Real Housewives of Potomac!

This wouldn’t be Bravo TV’s first crack at bringing the Housewives format to the DMV area, as The Real Housewives of DC debuted in 2010, however was cancelled after one season due to the cast refusing to work with their White House crashing cast member Michaele Salahi.

Real Housewives of Potomac will be airing right after the number one Housewives franchise, Real Housewives of Atlanta starting January 17th at 9pm on Bravo! Press release is below:
