Congratulations are in order!

Actress, Kerry Washington has just won her first Emmy!

Just yesterday, Washington recieved this special honor for her work as an executive producer. Washington served as an executive producer on ABC’s Live In Front Of A Studio Audience: “All In The Family” and “Good Times.”

During the awards, the show won the award for Outstanding Variety Special (Live). Washington took it to her Instagram Story to celebrate her accomplishment stating, “OMG,” she wrote. “So proud of @simpsonstreet and this incredible cast and crew.”

Back in 2016, Washington launched her production company titled Simpson Street. This year, the Scandal alum received four nominations, three as an executive producer and one as a lead actress.

In addition, she was also nominated as an excutive producer on American Son and Little Fires Everywhere.

Little Fireflies Everywhere was up for Outstanding Limited series this year while American Son was nominated for Outstanding Television Movie.

Washington was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Limited Series or Movie for her role as Mia Warren in Little Fires Everywhere.
