Say it ain’t so!

We just learned that actress and comedian, Leslie Jones will not be returning to Saturday Night Live for the show’s 45th season (set to premiere on September 28th).

The actress joined Saturday Night Live back in 2014 as a writer and cast member for the past five years.

In 2017 and 2018, she was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. This year was no different! Jones is nominated for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for co-writing “The Upper East Side,” a track that was featured on an episode in which James McAvoy hosted.

Just because the comedian is leaving Saturday Night Live does not mean she isn’t booked and busy!

Jones is currently working on several film projects and filming a comedy special for Netflix which will air on the popular streaming platform in 2020.

We hate to see you go, Leslie but we can’t wait to see the amazing things you will continue to do!
