Anastasia Washington is a woman of many hats. During our brief conversation, I learned so much about not only what she does but who she is and what inspires her. As a woman who finds herself at many interpersonal intersections, Anastasia uses her affinity for comedy as a bridge that the rest of us can use to understand the complexities of communities that we might not necessarily be a part of. As a curvy and biracial woman, her experiences are incredibly nuanced while still being relatable. Anastasia will be releasing a self-published self-help book in the month of November and will be starring in in a new one-woman show at Curtis Theater Amplifies in Brea, California on November 13th.
