Pooh Hicks has become quite an interesting character on this season of “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta.” The Atlanta socialite and wife of former president of Island Black Music Hiriam Hicks has kept viewers on their toes with each episode. Yet outside of the media and the drama from the show, she is truly a woman about her business!

Hicks currently operates a successful cosmetic line, FaceTyme Makeup & Ladybug Lashes and plans to soon release a new book titled, “The Truth Hurts.”

What will readers be able to discover in your upcoming book, “The Truth Hurts”?

In this book, you’re going to learn my life story, things I experienced growing up in Detroit, and my struggles.

What was the inspiration behind starting your cosmetic line, “FaceTyme Makeup & Ladybug Lashes?

I have always had a passion for helping women feel good about themselves and enhancing their beauty.

What has your experience been like on Season 8 of Love & Hip Hop ATL? Any regrets?

It has been a fun time and a really different experience, but overall I have no regrets!

Do you feel Reality TV tries to paint a bad image out there on Black Women?

No, you have control of the image you put out there.

How do you feel about the new Abortion Law?

No man should have a say in what a woman should do with her body. It’s completely violating women as a whole!

What’s next for you in business and with your goals for 2019?

To expand FaceTyme and make it into a bigger brand, I also want to help bring more awareness to bullying and the modern pro-woman rights.
