Have you seen TV One’s latest original film? Loved to Death premiered just last night and people already can’t get enough of it. The film, which stars MC Lyte, Malinda Williams, McKinley Freeman, Tobias Truvillion, and Chrystee follows the story of a newly engaged couple whose lives are cut short when they are gunned down by an ex-lover. Just before she met Dre (portrayed by Tobias Truvillion), Monica (portrayed by Malinda Williams) leaves an abusive relationship with Jackson (portrayed by McKinley Freeman). The project is inspired by TV One’s true-crime programming and is part of the network’s month-long chilling slate of Love, Lies, & Murder movie every Sunday. We sat down with the legendary female rapper and actress, MC Lyte to discuss her exciting role in this project and what you can expect to see from her in the future. Tell us about your role in TV One’s “Loved to Death.”

Tiffany, the eldest of the three sisters weeks to provide quiet support for her youngest sister Monica.

What can viewers expect to see?

A true story comes to life through an amazing script and cast & crew. Malinda Williams acts as our lead,  Monica, who is forced to make a life-altering choice.

How would you say your role in this film is any different than the many other films you have been in?

I play the role of Tiffany the eldest sister in the family. This character is not as vocal as the others I’ve played. Tiffany is more reserved and looks to quietly support her sister.

What can we expect to see from you in the future?

More acting, more music, more TV and more Hip Hop Sisters Foundation scholarships!

Loved To Death was directed by Lee Davis and written by Chad Quinn. David Rimawi served as the executive producer while David Michaelas was producer and Scotty Mullen as casting director.
