Congratulations Meek Mill!

Just recently, Billboard announced their first ever R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players event and they will honor none other than rapper, Meek Mill with its inaugural Impact Award.

Billboard states that the purpose of this new event is to honor individuals who are “driving, influencing and guiding the industry.”

Van Jones will present Meek Mill with this award and recognize his fight for prison reform and of course, his success in the music industry.

Billboard also states that the award will be given to Meek because of “the strength he has demonstrated in the face of America’s criminal justice system, the light he has shined on the country’s need for justice reform and his constant creative output, including 140 million total streams and five Top 10 releases on the Billboard 200 albums chart.”

In addition to Meek Mill receiving this award, Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “Pee” Thomas, the COO and CEO of Quality Control Music will both be honored at the event.

It looks as if this will be a star-studded event! The roster currently includes Migos, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, and City Girls.

Congratulations once again Meek Mill!
