Chinese brand Rizhou presented their SS20 runway show at Spring Studios on September 4. The collection was intricate and understated while the atmosphere was suggestive of a dreary post-rain moonlit night. The sleek black runway seemed reminiscent of wet asphalt after a thunderstorm. Models held umbrellas and wore black asymmetrical hats which flounced as they walked to the somber yet upbeat music.

Oversized silhouettes and gathering details made the primarily black collection look fresh. Rizhuo, which focuses on daily wear, presented asymmetrical bodysuits and wide-leg pants. Extended sleeves and fluid mesh materials were refreshing in practical and versatile colorways. The collections gave a nod to the constellations and the phases of the moon. This was presented alongside tailored silhouettes where the entire collection seemed to reference a sense of introverted maximalism. Which makes sense considering the collection was inspired by emotions, humanistic feelings, and the internet.
