Wednesday, December 7th, Peacock and Universal Television hosted a star-studded red carpet premiere event and screening for the highly-anticipated limited series premiere of The Best Man: The Final Chapters at The Hollywood Athletic Club in Hollywood, California.

The premiere of the streamer’s new series, a continuation of the beloved and iconic The Best Man franchise, was kicked off in style with an A-list event and many surprises along the way, including an electric and nostalgic performance from 90s musical icons Ginuwineand 112, who performed several hits including “Pony” and “Peaches & Cream.”

Guests included THE BEST MAN: THE FINAL CHAPTERS cast Morris Chestnut, Melissa De Sousa, Taye Diggs, Regina Hall, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, Harold Perrineau, and the Best Man franchise creator, co-developer, writer, director, executive producer Malcolm D. Lee showed up in style and posed for photos alongside the cast with co-developer, writer, executive producer Dayna Lynne North and executive producer Dominique Telson.

Additional guests of note included Monica Calhoun (The Best Man franchise), Salt of Salt-n-Pepa, Jeremih, Olly Sholotan, Cassandra Freeman and Jimmy Akingbola(Bel-Air), Lance Gross, J. August Richards (Vampire Academy), Luenell (Dad Stop Embarrassing Me), Aaron Jennings (Grand Crew) and Mayan Lopez (Lopez vs Lopez) and executives:

To kick off festivities, Lee and North set the intimate space with opening remarks. Following the exclusive screening, party-goers were drawn to the dance floor by Ginuwine and 112 as they performed “Candy,” and led everyone to the electric slide taking a page out of the original The Best Man film for a full circle moment.
