Get ready because Questlove is preparing for his directorial debut! Questlove will direct a new documentary on the Harlem Cultural Festival in 1969.

It will include never-before-seen footage from the festival, which was originally shot by producer/director Hal Tulchin. If you’re not familiar, the name Black Woodstock featured artists such as Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, and many more!

In a statement to Variety, Questlove said, “I was stunned when I saw the lost footage for the first time. It’s incredible to look at 50 years of history that’s never been told, and I’m eager and humbled to tell that story.”
