This weekend the 21st annual Atlanta Black Gay Pride was held! The event included appearances from stars such as Cardi B, Tamar Braxton, Tiffany Fox, Lil Kim, Sevyn Streeter, Keke Palmer, Lil Mo and many more! The weekend’s festivities will allocate some of the profits to aid homeless LGBT youth and anyone affected by HIV/AIDS via The Vision Community Foundation. This year’s fest paid homage to Miss Troy “Tee Tee” Dangerfield, transgender woman from Atlanta who was killed earlier this year.

On Sunday, September 3rd, the 6th annual Pure Heat Community Festival or  “day of unity” took place at Atlanta’s Piedmont Park. Sevyn Streeter received the Humanitarian Awards while transgender actress and model Amiyah Scott was honored with the Legacy Award. The event had educational forms, prizes & giveaways, entertainment, food and market vendors,  and live performances designed to help unify the community, pride and vision.

Be sure that next year you are in attendance, for more information about any of the events: Pure Heat Community Festival, Atlanta Gay Pride for women, Atlanta Gay Pride for men.
