Burbank, CA — It was a day of fun in the sun as celebrities and some of today’s leading athletes came together for the 4th annual Athletes Vs. Cancer Flag Football Game. This time LA Clippers player Matt Barnes and Snoop Dogg took their teams to John Burroughs High School Memorial Field to face off.

Over 1,000 fans cheered from the stands and sidelines as celebrity participants scored touchdowns. Separated into two teams Steph Curry, Chris Brown, Kevin Durant, Snoop Dogg, O.T. Genasis, Eric Bellinger, Draymond Green, Aaron Gordon, DeMar DeRozan, Nick Young, Jordan Clarkson, Zack Randolph, Chris Paul, Willie Cauley Stein, Deandre Jordan, JaVale McGee, and The Game amongst many others went head to head in the fight against cancer.

After winning three years in a row, Snoop’s team was met with defeat as Matt’s team took the trophy this year. It was a close call as the game closed out with a 43-42 score.

Athletes vs. Cancer is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to save lives in the fight against cancer and find a cure. In 2008, Matt Barnes launched Athletes vs. Cancer worldwide, with a focus to educate and bring cancer awareness to communities, and motivate people to get regular cancer screenings. Created in memory of Barnes’ mother, Ann Barnes, who passed away 26 days after being diagnosed with four types of cancer in November of 2007, Athletes vs. Cancer provides support, gives hope and improves the quality of life for individuals and families that have been affected by cancer.
