The Golden Globe Awards is a monumental event in one’s career in entertainment. With inclusion being such a trending topic in 2016, it was a special night as we saw many people of color take home the prestigious award.

Although Tracee’s red carpet entrance had us all in a daze, it was the moment she won “Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical Series” for her role as “Dr. Rainbow Johnson” in the delightfully funny television series Blackish that was glorious. Tracee is the first black woman to win in that category since 1983 when Debbie Allen won.

We were all ecstatic when the cast of the hot new show Atlanta won for “Best Comedy TV Series” and the creator and star Donald Glover also won Best Actor.

Last but not least, the beloved film Moonlight won Best Motion Picture.
