I love varying up my workouts to stay fit and keep the miasmatic presence of boredom at bay. One workout that has caught my attention lately is Boxing, and I’ve found I’m not alone.

Ellie Goulding, Kim Kardashian, Jourdan Dunn and Shay Mitchell are among the many celebrity fit chicks who use boxing to stay in shape, and with good reason. Boxing has too many benefits to name them all, one of the best being improving cardiovascular health. Heart healthy workouts are so important to combatting the S.A.D (Standard American Diet, ironic I know) that we have in this country.

A benefit that I absolutely love is that it’s great for building muscle. I’m always pushing muscle building workouts because building muscle is the best way to burn fat, stay heart healthy, fortify your bones and joints, and adding years to your life. Meditation is also something that adds years of healthy living to your life. Boxing definitely improves your mental focus and helps to relieve stress.

I can’t really see any reason not to add boxing to a healthy fitness routine. Just make sure you talk to your doctor if you have health problems. In my search for a great gym here in Atlanta, Stic.man of the famed rap group Dead Prez and founder of RBG Fight Club suggested Bangkok Boxing, and he would know! I’ve got my gloves ready!
