Multi-talented star, TC Carson is preparing for his upcoming performance this Sunday, December 19th at City Winery in Atlanta, Georgia! Carson will be joined by actor, Malcolm Jamal-Warner and Doc Powell! We had the sit down with the multi-talented creative to discuss his upcoming performances, a holiday film coming soon, and what we can expect from him in the year 2022.
Tell us about your upcoming performance at City Winery in Atlanta. What can attendees expect to see?
I am a jazz vocalist and it’ll be a combination of standard tunes and popular music with a jazz edge to it. This is the first of three concert series at City Winery. We have the first one happening in at Atlanta this weekend. Next month we’ll be in Chicago and then in February we’ll be in Philadelphia.
Can you give us insight into the film that you are filming in Washington D.C.?
This is a Christmas movie. It is called A Wesley Christmas. It’s a soulful dramedy movie. I play the next door neighborhood, who is a Vietnam vet suffering with PTSD.
How would you describe filming during a pandemic?
It’s been interesting. Production is really on it as far as protocols, making sure people are masked up, and ensuring everyone gets tested when they come in. There are protocols before you can begin work. They are keeping to those protocols and we’re being as safe as we can.
What are you looking to accomplish in the year 2022?
Wow! That’s a loaded question. Just to delving more into my art. I want to delve more into my music and do more acting work that will stretch me. I don’t want to be held for the things I’ve done in the past, I’m doing new things including becoming different characters and pushing the envelope so to speak. That’s what I’m looking forward to this New Year.
