This morning, actors Ryan Eggold and Samira Wiley announced the nominees for the 2018 Emmys!

As many predicted, hit series such as The Crown, Games of Thrones, and This is Us have the most amount of nominations for their outstanding seasons over the past year.

Many celebrities were quick to jump on social media to express their excitement for the amazing honor.

Sterling K. Brown took it to Twitter to thank the Television Academy for his nomination in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series category.

Regina King was nominated for Lead Actress, Limited Series or Movie for her role in Seven Seconds and had this to say,


“It feels amazing to be recognized for Seven Seconds. It tells an important story which shines a light on truly relevant societal issues. The subject matter could not be timelier. I am incredibly proud of the work that our cast and crew put in.”

Comedian and actress, Tiffany Haddish was nominated for Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for hosting Saturday Night Live and said,

“OVERJOYED to be nominated for an #Emmy for when I hosted @nbcsnl!! I might even splurge for a new dress for this one!!!! Thank you everyone for your love and support! #sheready.”

John Legend was nominated for the Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for Jesus Christ Superstar. Legend said,

The 2018 Emmys will air LIVE from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Monday, September 17th at 8PM EST on NBC.
