Tory and Teri have been in practice since 2016 and are National Board Certified Marriage and Relationship Counselors who specialize in individual, couples, and family therapy. Their practice, I Forever Will Christian Marriage Counseling, LLC areas of expertise are infidelity, intimacy therapy, anxiety, communication, depression, and trauma therapy.
Can you tell us who Tory and Teri Smith are?
First and foremost, we are children of God, together and individually. We are parents to six amazing children and six adorable and incredible grandchildren! We have an awesome life that can only be attributed to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. By day, we are marriage and relationship counselors, and by night, we’re multi-media personalities. We have been told by many that we are an incredible Power Couple, but we are just a humble couple that lives purposely and intentionally.
You two have an incredible story. You met and married within a month. Can you give a little insight into the moment you both knew that you had found “The One?”
Yes, we did hit the ground running within 30 days! We actually knew we had found “The One” in each other during the first conversation. There were some checkpoints that each of us identified in each other on day one, not to mention, from that initial virtual call, we talked pretty much 72 hours straight.
You both have incredible faith in God. How do you feel that contributes to the success of your marriage?
It’s so important to be equally yoked in a marriage, but it’s also more important to have a marriage grounded in Christ! Since we both came into the relationship whole, saved, and in a relationship with God, it only strengthens our covenant.
What are the pros and cons of both working together and living together?
Pros: We have great chemistry together; We know each other intimately
Cons: We know each other intimately, lol
How do you each find alone time?
Although we work and live together, our work offices are in different areas of the home. We’re far enough apart to have some individual time, and we’re close enough to hug, hold or vent to each other.
You have a top-rated show on Praise Houston. Why do you believe so many continue to tune in week after week?
First, it’s the favor from God! Secondly, we talk about issues that come directly from our listeners and followers. In addition, we give great practical advice.
Teri, you have a new book. Can you tell us about that?
Oh yes, but of course, my new book is titled “Exposing the Lie of the enemy.” It is a 2x Best Seller Devotional. This is a collaborative book of 30 Boss Babes Who Pray!! We’re back with volume 3! This time, we take every reader on a journey of what EXPOSING the accuser looks like. From lies that attempted to swallow our worth, our identity, to even our mind!

What advice could you provide to people that are afraid to follow their hearts regarding love, faith, and knowing you’ve found “The One?”
Scripture tells us, “He that findeth a wife, finds a good thing!” This means that the man finds the woman, and the woman makes the choice. We advise people never to be afraid to seek and find the person their soul connects with, and don’t be afraid to make an informed choice, not because you love him, but that he exhibits the fruits of the spirit of God!
