LaToya Alexander is a known hair stylist, businesswoman and teacher!

She has always had a flair for style bringing her unique brand to the art of hairstyling. Since 2014, she has been the co-owner of the upscale premier hair design studio, “Salon Lashe,” which provides women of Atlanta with great quality hair care, installations, makeup and most recently, custom wigs. Clients who work with her gain the opportunity to receive instruction on how to care for their natural hair as well as the wigs and weaves they get installed. LaToya has had the pleasure of creating custom wigs for some of Atlanta’s most fabulous women including R&B Diva, Syleena Johnson, and Love and Hip Hop star, Mimi Faust!

Rather than keep that wealth of knowledge in hair care to herself, she decided to start sharing those skills and techniques with the women of Atlanta through a series of courses with a curriculum designed to provide instruction on wig making, installation and at home care!

What made you choose a career in the hair industry?

I believe it was all God-given, I use to play in my mother’s hair at eleven years old. My mother noticed that all my Barbie dolls and baby dolls had peroxide in their hair, or Kool-Aid from me trying to color it, or even some type of weave braided into their hair. So for me, it’s just a natural craft I had in me as a kid. As I grew up, my mom took a liking to it, and it went from her to my aunts, and then to people at church with me trying different things on them. I have been licensed now for about eight years!

What sets you apart from other Hair Stylist?

I’ve heard it’s my personality, just being really honest and upfront with people and more importantly, telling the truth about hair because some stylists are just money driven and don’t really give hair care. I’m very truthful to my clients when it comes to their hair.
