Industry insiders gathered last evening at NYC’s “The Cutting Room” for the premiere screening of WE TV’s brand new reality show, Hustle and Soul. Attendees also had a chance to hear from the star of the show, Chef Lawrence Page as he joined in conversation with veteran host, AJ Calloway. Music great, Questlove closed out the evening with a DJ set.

Host, AJ Calloway and Chef Lawrence had a thought provoking conversation, which was based around his historic restaurant and career. The chef was up close and personal, as he spoke of rebuilding from hard times as well as the history of the soulful restaurant, The Pink Tea Cup. The Pink Tea Cup is a family owned business, established in 1954 that was located in the West Village. The historic restaurant was home to many of Motown legends and even today’s popular artists. With a major hiccup, that had the restaurant at a standstill, Chef Lawrence Page was on a mission to revive the restaurant’s brand.

WE TV’s new reality show Hustle and Soul, follows master Chef Lawrence Page, as he elevates his popular Brooklyn food restaurant, The Pink Tea Cup. What seems like an easy task, may be a little overwhelming as he deals with a unique staff that he must keep in line. As tensions continually rise, Chef Lawrence Page must stay on top of his game to take his restaurant and brand to the next level.

Last evening at the premiere screening, attendees were introduced to many of the staff members of the Pink Tea Restaurant. Jealousy, competition and even love triangles are a present issue, which will place a hold on the business. Chef Lawrence Page needs to execute his goal, of keeping his business afloat, while enduring such problems. In order for him to do this, he is going to have a New York Hustle and Soul, which comes natural to the chef.

This show will definitely be a great addition to WE TV’s lineup that will keep viewers on their feet! Be sure to lookout for Hustle and Soul Thursday at 10pm only on WE TV!
