Lola Tomorrow is the brains and power behind The TMRWLive! Virtual Experience. She is an accomplished Events Executive with more than 15 years of experience curating highly successful and revenue-generating corporate events, galas, conventions, and industry conferences.
Her mission with TMRWLive is to help faith-driven women in business gain access to community, capital and connections to expand their reach, impact, and influence globally.
Former Aide to Michelle Obama, multi-industry influencer, philanthropist, angel investor, executive director, and multiple six-figure earning event and business strategist are just some of the hats that Lola wears. Her unique gift is such, creating strategic connections to maximize the impact of women and business leaders globally.
What made you want to become an entrepreneur?
I became an entrepreneur by accident. I was working the job of my dreams traveling the world with First Lady Michelle Obama planning events. However, there was a small voice inside of me saying “there is more”. Although I felt fulfilled in the work I was doing at the time, I KNEW there was more God had for me. I didn’t know that “more” would lead me down the path of entrepreneurship but here I am almost 10 years later…. Still going…
What would you tell your 21-year-old self?
ENJOY LIFE!!! LIVE GIRL! Just LIVE! There is beauty in your mistakes. Embrace them. Feel them. Allow the mistakes of life to make you better… AND… with God, even your mistakes will prosper you. Trust the process.
What do you want to say to the woman who doesn’t feel like she’s good enough to make it in the marketplace?
Truth is…. WE ARE ALL FIGURING IT OUT… Yes, even the woman making millions and billions. Take the pressure off yourself to get it right because we are ALL figuring it out.
Tell us more about the TMRWLive! Awards, including why you felt led to create this event and what people can expect.
Looking at prestigious awards similar to Forbes or Crain 40 Under 40, I felt that faith driven business owners needed something similar. I wanted to honor the woman who is making waves in the business world while staying true to her faith. The woman who is using her money and influence to impact more people.
I felt it was time we put more light/notice on women like this.
How would you describe a woman of faith in business?
Woman of faith in business is a woman who allows her business decisions to be guided by God. She may never say God publicly BUT he is her silent strength.
Why is giving back so important to you?
I believe God is very intentional and being blessed with wealth & influence is a part of a bigger plan. We are his hands/feet here on earth and the world NEEDS kingdom minded people who know the importance of giving back. It’s really a part of a larger plan.
