Actor, Angelo Williams first gained an interested in entertainment at an early age. At just eight-years-old, Williams danced his way through middle and high school! When rehearsing at his dance teammate’s house, he met actor Tim Russ who took him on an open call audition for Coca-Cola and the rest was history. In this exclusive interview with Angelo Williams, he opens up to us about his start, his journey, and much more!
What made you want to enter the world of entertainment?
Honestly it was the hip-hop culture that has really opened my eyes to entertainment. Growing up, I use to always watch 106&Park and see young talented artist and music groups do their thing. I felt that if they could get paid to do what they love, so can I. I could remember times in middle school where we would have guest performers at our school and I felt like that should be me on that stage, so it started from there.
How would you describe your journey in this industry?
Wow, the best way to describe my journey is that it was like a book. Every book or story has a slow beginning with a small twist that will forever change your life. I would probably have never considered to even get serious enough to pursue acting if I had not met my friend Madison and her TV actor dad Tim Russ. I’ve learned a lot from Tim and trust me, it wasn’t easy trying to book my first audition. It took about 3 years for me to even book my first tv role. One thing that I had to learn from my journey is that in order to gain some type of success in anything you have to practice nonstop and be consistent and from my story, when I look back, I’m happy to see that I was able to practice consistency.
Can you describe to us how business has impacted your career?
Business has changed my perspective and mindset completely. In other words, it has helped me mature a lot faster. In entertainment, you need thick skin and business gave me that right away. Everyday I listen to self-development so that I could keep my mind on the right track to continue my journey. Growing up, my parents never had much. So, when I first gotten the chance to learn how to make money on my phone by networking and investing, of course I took that leap of faith. In every industry including in finance and entertainment, I learned that your Network is your Net worth. Getting into Network Marketing and the Foreign exchange market was probably the smartest thing that I’ve done now that I’m an adult. I had to conversate with 7 and 8 figure entrepreneurs just to realize how valuable my brain and phone really is. The crazy part about it all is that it took just a few Google searches. Growing up, we were always taught the traditional way to make money was to go to school, graduate and find a job. But school doesn’t teach anyone how to make a million dollars. I know that entertainment is one way to go about it but the things that I’m doing now with Networking and Investing is going to get me there a lot faster. Never thought that a simple skillset that takes a few hours a day could take the job away and help make me successful.
Are there any upcoming projects you could give us insight into?
I am reading for a couple of roles, but I can’t go into detail at the moment. Other than that, I am in the process of furthering my entrepreneurship. I’m working on clothing as well as a possible YouTube channel. Still deciding on how I should go about it all. Also, I’m helping others around me and on social media learn how they could make money on their phones and possibly get rid of the job after. I love to Impact the people around me because someone did the same for me.
