Makeup artist Tatiana Wilson of Studio Pink ATL is a veteran in the industry and her work speaks volumes.
Over the course of ten years, Wilson has beat the faces of everyday working women to some of the most sought after celebrities and reality tv stars, including Demetria Mckinney of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, Leanne Lyons of SWV, Karlie Redd of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and many more.
SHEEN Magazine caught up with the makeup guru to talk spring trends, common mistakes and product necessities.
How did you get in the industry?
I mainly got into the industry by networking and working with a lot of local fashion shows and events in Atlanta, Georgia. I found a lot of these events through the Bella Rose Agency.
What’s your expertise?
I believe my particular area of expertise would have to be natural glam. That would include flawless foundation and enhanced natural beauty looks.
What are some mistakes that you see women make everyday when it comes to doing their own make up?
Some common mistakes I see made by women would have to be improper eyebrow shaping and filling in, over doing highlighting and contouring and wrong foundation selection.
What are 3 top items or products that you cannot live without?
Some products I cannot live without would have to be my Ben Nye Banana Powder, MAC Studio Fix foundation and NARS foundation and concealers.
What are your career goals in this industry?
My goal as a makeup artist is to start my own skin care and cosmetics Line. I also want to open up a store front location, as well as travel the world with my makeup artistry.
What are the top 3-5 makeup trends for the spring?
Some Spring trends I believe will happen this year are colored smokey eyes, Nude Lips and Sun kissed highlights.
Do you have any upcoming projects?
I have a makeup class coming up in April with Colour U Cosmetics for the everyday Atlanta woman
