On the verge of a major breakthrough, critically acclaimed Atlanta-based rap phenom, storyteller and avid comic book aficionado Ben Reilly announces his brand new Not Your Hero 4 Hire EP out August 23 via Abstract Media/AWAL Recordings. Pre-order/Pre-save Not Your Hero 4 Hire EP —HERE.

The six-track project expands his world once again. This time around, he infuses the music with superhero scope and visionary themes as if translating a graphic novel of his life into fascinating and fiery rhymes. From the arresting opener “Apply Yourself… Then Touch A Bag” through the powerful finale “Yondu,” he lyrically paints pictures across the songs with acute attention to detail and awareness of his own larger extended universe. Check out the full tracklisting below.

He initially heralded Not Your Hero 4 Hire EP with “Edna Capes (Capes)” and its accompanying music video (watch HERE), which both visually and lyrically pays homage to The Incredibles super stylist Edna Mode. The song was followed by “Photoshoot,” which plays on a similar sound to his breakout hit “Maytag (Tax Free)” as Ben paves a lane for himself with a distinctive urgency and percussive flow. Cumulatively, the tracks have gathered one million-plus streams and counting.
