Date, Sex, and Money Podcast host, Ashley Allen is a woman of many hats! She is a life coach, a survivor of domestic abuse, the creator of a relationship and wellness show, and also teaches people how to start their very own podcast through hosting a webinar teaching. Just recently, Allen allowed us a chance to get to know her strengths and her mission in life! Check out our exclusive interview with Ashley Allen below!
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am a mother of one amazing boy. I graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Science Degree in psychology. I am a published author 2 poetry books about Domestic Abuse titled “Bad Hearts and Screaming Thoughts” and “12,000 Tears From a Poetic Mistress.” I am a brand ambassador for Strait Laced Boutique (which I am styled by in my photos)! Lastly, I am the creator and host of the Date, Sex, Money, Podcast!
What inspired you to create your Date, Sex, Money Podcast?
I was bored (laughs). I always have been a creative person but at the time I realize I was bored with my career so I started a talk show enlightening and educating others. It uplifted my spirit! Also, as I was building the platform, the networks started to flow in!
What can those that tune into your show expect?
They can expect to be empowered and to hear a lot of topics about dating, Marriage, Relationships, and Wellness. Wellness topics include emotional health, physical health, mental health, and spiritual health. I also interview other creatives on the show. I invite everyone to check out my website.
Why is it so important for you to empower others?
It is important because it will strengthen families and communities. I feel everyone should have happiness and satisfaction in life. People should receive daily doses of motivation to strive for better each day. My daily dose of motivation is Les Brown (laughs).
You also host a webinar teaching, what made you want to branch out and do this?
Yes, I have been podcasting since 2016 and I have learned a lot of valuable information. I just want to let others know how to make additional income podcasting. So I created an online webinar called “Podcasting 101: The Journey To Creating a Podcast.” The webinar is a powerpoint presentation delivering information in podcast production, podcast marketing, podcast monetizing, and podcast funding. You can request an invite to my webinar on my website!
Where do you hope to see yourself in the years to come?
I hope to see myself as a full-time Television Talk Show Host or Talk Radio Host. I hope to own a television and broadcasting company and live somewhere where the food is great and it is always sunny!
