Former Project Runway finalist and fashion designer Kimberly Goldson talks fashion, inspiration, authenticity, and her dream fashion fairy godmother.
Meet Kimberly Goldson, a proud Brooklyn native and one of today’s most impactful designers in the fashion industry. You might recognize her for the seamless design aesthetics and signature custom print tailored suits of her lifestyle brand, and from Season 9 of Project Runway. After placing fourth, Goldson and her sister, Shelly Powell (#KGsisters), created the contemporary women’s wear line for the daring fashions. Inspired by their Brooklyn roots and global travels, the brand has expanded internationally with boutiques in Ireland, Germany, and Ghana. Goldson’s notable celebrity clients include Tamar Braxton, Faith Evans, and Tiffany Haddish. In 2018, Kimberly was one of three black women who collaborated on LeBron James “The Strongest” campaign, for the HFR x Lebron 16 shoes, dedicated to black women’s strength – just another accolade proving she’s the epitome of #BlackGirlMagic!
Check out our exclusive interview with Goldson, on how she remains innovative, owns her authenticity, and what we can expect from her in the future.
