It was the summer of 1983 at Central Park where Diana Ross stunned fans. She performed on the Great Lawn on both July 21st and July 22nd to raise money for the Diana Ross Playground Fund. The fund was created to rebuild a playground on West 81st Street.
The show was aired worldwide, Ross sang for 25 minutes before rain began to pour but it didn’t stop her from giving the performance her all. She continued to sing until she finished performing, “Muscles.”
Tracee Ellis Ross also took it to social media to celebrate her mother’s memorable show.
