Today marks the 50th anniversary of the death of the legendary and honorable, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. On this day in 1968, Dr. King’s life was taken after being assassinated at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee. Although there is still work to be done, each and every day, individuals continue to make his dreams our reality.
In commemoration of the 50th anniversary, Atlanta influencers, dignitaries and city officials joined forces with Alveda King, Bernice King, Christine King Ferris, Clifton Powell and many more for the debut of Unsolved History: Life of A King. The private screening was held at the historic Sweet Auburn district that included a complimentary tour of the museum as well as the advanced screening.
