Latasha Wright has quickly become everyone’s go to woman. She wears many hats, to name a few she is the CEO of The Wright Look Studios, a licensed esthetician. Not only is she a boss when it comes to slaying the faces of many celebrities but everyday women are gravitating towards the makeup maven. Latasha sat down with Sheen to discuss how she has made it her mission to empower other women and her favorite spring trends. She has completely changed the beauty game by creating Glamour Guru, what is it? Well you’ll just have to keep reading to find out.

Can you tell our readers about yourself? How did you get into the world of beauty?
Well, my name is Latasha Wright. It has been eleven years in the glam and beauty industry. I started because I became a licensed esthetician and I realized that I did not want to be confined to four walls, providing services. I definitely wanted to use makeup as a ministry to as many people as possible so they have a look of confidence, a daily Polish and Perfected look and to help them be the best they can possibly be when they go out and face people in the work force, at home, and their everyday lives.

Can you tell us about Glamour Guru? Why did you create it?
I created Glamour Guru because after working with so many celebrities and being the person behind a lot of the looks you see, I wanted the everyday woman to have a Polish and Perfected look because a lot of times, stars are the ones who don’t see, they’re the ones who don’t know. They’re a mom, a CEO, your decision makers, and influencers. I found that a lot of times, women have so much knowledge but their looks don’t reflect that. For example, if you walk into a library and see the librarian, she is probably one of the most intellectual people and her look may be less glamourous. What if we glammed her up? You would look at her in a totally different way and listen to what she is saying with a little more security. I wanted to take my knowledge over the years to bring that into the homes of the everyday woman.

What is the idea behind Polished and Perfected?
Polished and Perfected is definetly not for make up artists, it is a tool that has been put together for the everyday woman. Moms, women in corporate, teachers. This is for women who want to have a Polished and Perfected look everyday but just may not know how to do it or where to start. This is a great start for your makeup journey. I would love to go on with each and every woman in the privacy of their own home.

What makes Glamour Guru different from other YouTube or makeup tutorials on the market?
Oh wow, this product is totally different because it breaks down every tool, every part of the face and you can actually pick the complexion that compliments you best and is a reflection of you. It is definitely more detailed. When you see yourself, you feel like you can obtain it. It’s broken down and I’ve made it very simple. I mad Glamour Guru a system that you can start and stop. There is no other product on the market that allows you to be able to learn to do a face in 20 minutes and be able to look at it by each section.

What are your favorite spring makeup trends?
I think in 2018, you definitely have to be all about the beautiful bronzed skin and have that sun-kissed glow. Highly pigmented products are important, one of my favorite right now is Trophy Wife by Fenty Beauty. I think that it has pigmentation that I have never seen and has amazing staying power. Less is more, it’s all about skin, glow, and natural hues this summer. You can have a glam look but it does not have to be so obvious.

What advice would you give the average career woman who doesn’t have a lot of time in the morning to do her makeup but wants to look Polished and Perfected? Are there any must have products?

You definitely have to have an amazing mascara and the right lip that is long wearing. You should have products that you don’t have to reapply all day. A lip stain is a must have! I believe in multi-functioning products. For example, let’s say you have a blush. Go ahead and use that blush as an eyeshadow. Or take your bronzer that is glowling, swipe it over your eyelids. Another suggestion is to always apply moisturizer to the skin so you have more coverage on the face. Woman on the go should just find those five products that work, you can get the job done. Use things that are less of an inconvenience for you.
