Tell me about Elle’s Couture Events.

Elle’s Couture Events is a chic, stylish and modern wedding and event planning company serving fabulous clients in New York, NY and beyond. Since opening Elle’s Couture in 2010, I fell passionately in love with planning events and playing a huge role in one of the biggest days of her client’s lives. I an absolute believer of gorgeous flowers, details and anything sweet & yummy. I also believe that every event deserves to be custom, different and just as unique as you are. From intimate celebrations in a city loft, to weddings on a farm set under the stars, to over the top glam with enough sparkle to light the city, our professional team brings a fresh and creative approach to the design and planning process.

Walk me through the process of planning a visually stunning wedding.

To start, we create a design board that visually outlines our clients wedding decor from ceremony all the way down to favors. My team and I pull concepts from anything that can resonate with the client’s decor. Concepts can be derived from browsing the garment district for unique textures and patterns, fashion trends or a shopping trip to Home Goods.

What is your best advice for the bride and groom to be?

Many couples battle on whether or not to have a first look. We’ve all heard the wives tale- “It’s bad luck to see each other before the ceremony”. This couldn’t be further from the truth even though it’s tradition. While many couples adhere to the not-seeing-each-other custom because they feel it adds excitement and anticipation to the ceremony itself, other couples feel they’ll be more relaxed if they see each other before the ceremony. This also allows you all to take first look and formal pictures pre-ceremony, which means you get a smoother event and you can enjoy cocktail hour and who doesn’t want that! Not to mention, your first look will probably be the only time you have alone.

Do you have a favorite wedding that you’ve planned? If so, tell me what made it your favorite?

One of my favorite weddings was a 15 year vow renewal. I truly loved this couple, they made me feel like an extension of their family. Additionally they allowed me to run wild with my design ideas, which allowed for a unique over the top wedding.

How can one spot an Elle’s Couture Events production?

It’s all in the details.
