CNN has just reported that Jennifer Hudson, Yolanda Adams, and Stevie Wonder will perform at Aretha Franklin’s funeral service.
It was just last week when the Queen of Soul passed away, Aretha Franklin battled with pancreatic cancer. Aretha was 76-years-old.
Stevie Wonder shared with CBS This Morning,
“She did incredible music, incredible singer. She touched every genre. Every singer was influenced in some way by the way she sang. They will forever be influenced by her because of her voice, her emotion, her sincerity is unforgettable.”
Aretha’s funeral will be a four-day event. Fans will be able to attend her viewing that will be held at Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit. The public viewing will take place before her funeral is held at Greater Grace Temple.
In addition to the three music icons performing at Franklin’s funeral service, Clive Davis is planning a tribute concert for The Queen of Soul at Madison Square Garden that will take place in November.
