The College Football Playoff game is one of the most anticipated events of the year for sports lovers all around the world.
This year, the star power isn’t just on the field. SEVEN-time Grammy Award winner, Kendrick Lamar will perform during the halftime of the playoff national championship game on January 8th in Atlanta, Georgia!
Lamar is the first hip-hop artist to perform at the event AND this is also the FIRST year the championship playoff game will include a “super bowl-style” halftime performance.
The game will actually take place inside the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Lamar’s performance will be from Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park as part of ESPN’s halftime coverage.
In an announcement on Tuesday, ESPN stated that Lamar would perform a medley of his hit singles.
Kendrick Lamar’s latest album, “Damn” has been nominated for SEVEN total Grammy Awards.
