One of our favorite television couples is back on our television screen and we couldn’t be more excited. You know and love them from Lifetime’s hit series, Married At First Sight and since making their television debut, we just can’t get enough of them. Shawniece Jackson and Jephte are back and this time, they’ve got another addition in their family. In a new series titled, Married At First Sight: Happily Ever After, three couples from the show’s past season allow us a chance to enter their world and see what life is really like Married At First Sight. In this exclusive interview, Shawniece and Jephte share their story as a married couple and new parents!
How has life been as new parents?
Shawniece: Parenthood is Awesome! I love being a mom.
Jephte: Being new parents is amazing. There’s an adjustment you have to make but it’s the best thing that has ever happened to me.
What do you think being a parent has taught you two about yourselves?
Shawniece: I’ve definitely learned patience. I’m used to being in control of everything and being a new mom… well, things happen unexpectedly all the time. I am on little mamas time now.
Jephte: I think being parents expanded our hearts and our capacity to love.
Tell us about Married At First Sight: Happily Ever After. What can our viewers expect to see?
Shawniece: People will be able to see the continuing of our MAFS journey. It’s not perfect but we are getting through it, learning how to balance marriage and parenthood. We’re lucky because we have the help of the experts when we need them most.
Jephte: They can expect some highs and some lows. Being married at first sight isn’t easy and a child makes it a little harder but there’s so much growth between the two of us.
Since being Married At First Sight, how have you two been able to overcome the challenges of both marriage and parenthood with one another?
Shawniece: It’s still a work in progress, but learning how to communicate with each other and trusting each other has been the biggest key.
Jephte: We’re learning to rely on each other a lot more. We’re no longer strangers and Happily Ever After brought us together a lot more.
What can we expect to see from Shawniece and Jephte in the future?
Shawniece: Our future plans are still up in the air. This is all new for us, so finding common ground with each other is the absolute focus. We have so much to still do as a family that I’m excited about – so while the future is unknown it’s one that I’m thrilled to continue writing.
Jephte: We have nothing crazy planned. Right now we’re just trying to enjoy each other and our new baby.

Although I do hope for a bright future for them as a couple, Jepthe’s shaky commitment to his wife has me seriously doubting they will last. I hope I am wrong and he realizes the treasure he has found in Shawniece and now in their family.
I want to believe in this couple. But I am not sure about Jephte I honestly don’t believe that He is ready for marriage I pray that God will bless this family
