Robyn Robbins is a best-selling author, certified life and book coach, and international speaker who is affectionately referred to as “The Midwife.” She is very passionate about helping others see their values and their experiences as she has learned how to seize the purpose and possibilities out of her very own experiences to position herself for greatness. Her experiences serve as daily fuel to empower others holistically to do the same. It gives Robyn great joy in serving as a Midwife to catapult women into their personal power so they can give birth to something beautiful from their experiences- their Purpose!

With February being the ‘month of love,’ share the importance of self-discovery and self-love.

Yes, self-discovery and self-love are super important!  Self-discovery is an ongoing dialogue with one’s self. It is the way we court and get to know ourselves. As long as there is breath in our bodies we will be ever changing and evolving. Self-discovery allows us the opportunity to get to know ourselves as we continue to grow. Without the practice of reflective self-discovery, we can easily subject ourselves to things, people and places we have outgrown. I like to say self-love is like the currency in which one uses to increase their own personal value. If we looked at self- love this way we probably would give ourselves a ton more, right? If we constantly deposit this currency within ourselves we will be able to withdraw from it in times of need. This type of transaction ensures we don’t compromise ourselves, values or standards just to be loved or accepted by others. I have personally found that when my deposit trail was low I made some of the worst compromising decisions ever. So what will you deposit today?

Tell us about your new book “ThriveHER.”

ThriveHer: Getting Back 2 You is all about the journey that we as women eventually find ourselves taking. With all of the hats we wear and the roles we fulfill daily it’s so easy to lose yourself. We easily get caught up in everyone else’s wants and needs and by the time we look up- the things that once fueled us like our passions and aspirations seem to be so far away. In the book, I share my journey, completely transparent while offering the empowerment gems and coaching prompts I used to get back to myself.

ThriveHer takes you through an interactive journey to get your fire back, awaken your inner Goddess so you can show up in life again. No more life happening to us, we are happening to life. This book series has a holistic approach dealing with various areas such as emotional, relational, spiritual, mental, physical and financial aspects of life. At the end of the day, we all just want to live a harmonious life, not a perfect life.

If you could give your yourself one piece of advice 10 years ago, what would that be?

Wow, awesome question! I would most likely tell my younger self that everything you will experience serves a greater purpose so don’t get caught up in what it feels like at that moment there is a bigger picture at work.
