The American Society of Composers, authors, and publishers awarded trio, Quavo, Offset and Takeoff, popularly known as Migos with the Vanguard Award and honor on June 21 in Los Angeles during its 31st annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards in Beverly Hills, California. Atlanta 90’s R&B group, Xscape was also awarded the Golden Note Award during the ASCAP Awards 2018. ASCAP has helped artists, producers, and songwriters monetize their talents for years. It’s amazing to see new and old groups being awarded for new and classic music that has impacted the industry.

Major ASCAP artists were in attendance at the 31st ASCAP Awards such as Sevyn Streeter, Ernest Isley, PNB Rock, Melanie Fiona, Mona Scott Young, 2 Chainz, Rotimi, Xscape, and Migos.

During our exclusive interviews, PNB Rock discussed the untimely death of rap artist XXXtencion and what message his death sends other young men in the industry like himself. Mona Scott spoke to us briefly about the success of Xscape and noticing new talent. Rotimi our current cover star discussed Power returning to Starz this July and what to expect from his character Dre in the newest season.
