It was back in 2001 when singer, Aaliyah passed away. She was just 22-years-old when she and members of her team died in a tragic plane crash in the Bahamas. Missy Elliott and Aaliyah were filming the music video for her single, “Rock the Boat.”
After the shooting of their music video, the group decided to take a plane back to the United States a day early. The airplane crashed shortly after taking off.
Rest in peace Aaliyah and may your legacy continue to live on.
