SHEEN Magazine had the incredible honor of attending the Financial Freedom Conference this past weekend, an inspiring event dedicated to empowering Black women on their journeys toward financial independence and generational wealth. The atmosphere was nothing short of electric, filled with powerful messages, and motivation.
Check out the Recap on YouTube:
Brought to life by media mogul Alexis Skyy and Franklamar, also known as @theprgoat, the event brought together a dynamic lineup of speakers, including Chyna Bethley, Billionaire Barbie, CEO Lili, and Melisa Okolie, all of whom brought raw insight, personal stories, and practical strategies for financial growth and success. We also had the opportunity to briefly connect with each speaker to hear their personal perspectives on what this event meant to them.
We spoke with Alexis Skyy (@alexisskyy), who emphasized how deeply personal this conference was for her. “Being financially free to me means being able to do what I want without the limitations of money,” she shared. “I’m much more than a beautiful face and I wanted to put this event together because I genuinely love helping my people, especially Black women build a better future.”
Chyna Bethley (@chynabethley) offered impactful advice for those navigating the challenges of today’s economy, emphasizing the importance of intentional environments. “Yourenvironment is everything,” she said. “When you put yourself in rooms like this, you learn how to ask the right questions and network with the right people. Everyone is on their own journey, your personal growth and your financial goals are very important, and being in the room can help you accelerate both.”
Melisa Okolie (@nigerianwifeyy) also spoke passionately about the value of mentorship and support systems. “Having someone to guide you who’s been where you are can change your entire path,” she said. “Events like this give us that blueprint, but it’s on us to apply it.”
Tiffany Deberry (@coachmetiffany) encouraged those who may not know where to start, or who feel they lack the resources to begin with research and connection. “Try to find your niche, do your research, get a mentor, and start building from there,” she advised.
Billionaire Barbie (@iambillionairebarbie) stressed the importance of taking that leap of faith. “So many people wait for the perfect moment, but the truth is, you have to just start”, she said. Her words served as a powerful reminder that action builds confidence and momentum on the road to financial freedom.
CEO Lili (ceo_lilo) shared that one of the most valuable decisions she ever made was investing in herself and putting herself in rooms that inspired growth. “Surrounding yourself with people who challenge you to level up, that’s how you build real wealth,” she told us.
The event was further elevated by the presence of TaliahWaajid and Weekend Fetish, who added their unique flair and influence to the experience. Guests were treated to sponsored gift bags, a beautifully curated atmosphere designed by Perfectly Poshed Events, and eye-catching balloon displays that added a celebratory festive touch to the occasion!
Special guest and sponsor Daniel Gamble also made an appearance, sharing insights and support and The Traders Clubbrought their expertise to the conversation, emphasizing the importance of financial literacy in today’s economy.
Although this was the first financial freedom conference hosted by these visionary women, it was a resounding success. The room was filled with influential voices and passionate individuals united by a common goal, empowering others to take control of their financial journeys. The powerful exchange of knowledge, encouragement, and impactful experience set the tone for a new era of financial literacy.
Events like this constantly serve as a powerful reminder that financial freedom isn’t just about wealth, its about choice, self- worth, and legacy! As more women continue to lead these conversations and walk in these rooms, the path toward economic empowerment becomes clearer in our community. The future is financially free, and things are just getting started!
