Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have tied the knot and are now The Duke and Duchess of Sussex!
The happy couple exchanged their vows this morning at St. George’s Chapel at Winsdor in front of friends, family, and many more!
Prince Harry and Meghan also took the time to honor Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana during the ceremony.
When it was announced to the world that the two were engaged this past November, Prince Harry shared that he believed Diana and Meghan would be “best friends.”
It was also shared that the stones on Meghan’s engagement ring belonged to Princess Diana as they were also stones on her engagement ring. Meghan stated,
“I think everything about Harry’s thoughtfulness is – and the inclusion of that and obviously not being able to meet his mom it’s so important to me to – to know that she’s a part of this with us.”
In a statement from the Communications Secretary to Prince Harry earlier this month, it was stated that, “
keen to involve his mother’s family in his wedding.”
All of Princess Diana’s siblings attended the wedding ceremony this morning.
In honor of Princess Diana, Harry and Meghan remembered his mother with the bridal bouquet. The bouquet was Diana’s favorite flower, forget-me-nots.
The Palace shared that just one day before the Royal Wedding, Prince Harry hand-picked the flowers himself from the private garden at Kensington Palace for him and Meghan’s special day!
