As we continue to celebrate Women’s History month, we can’t forget SHEEN Magazine’s founder and publisher Mrs. Kim Chapman. The innovator and businesswoman started SHEEN in 2006 with the idea to make it the number one beauty publication for African-American women. Fast forward ten years later and SHEEN is not only the number one and the only beauty guide for African-American women, it is the only publication owned by an African-American woman that is distributed nationally and internationally.
But before SHEEN, there was Nairobi Professional, a professional hair care line Mrs. Chapman started with her husband Mr. William Chapman Jr. Nairobi is one of the top professional hair care lines in the African-American market.
Mrs. Chapman is a dynamic woman with a vivacious spirit that touches all who meet her.
