It’s been a little over a year since Shonda Rhimes broke our hearts when she announced that she would be leaving ABC but the producer has just left the world even more, shook with some exciting news!

Rhimes has just revealed that she is bringing eight shows to Netflix! Her new show roster entitled, Shondaland 2.0 is part of her multi-year contract deal with Netflix and we’ve got details on each project!

“The Warmth of Other Suns”

Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Isabel Wilkerson’s 2010 book portrays the migration of African-Americans fleeing from the south for the North and the west. The story will be adapted by Anna Deavere.

“Pico & Sepulveda”

This drama is based during the 1840s and focuses on the then-Mexican state of California and Americans fight at the border to claim land.

“Sunshine Scouts”

A comedy created by Jill Alexander tells the story of teenage girls away at camp who must deal with an apocalyptic disaster.

“Hot Chocolate Nutcracker”

“Hot Chocolate Nutcracker” will be a documentary on Debbie Allen Dance Academy.

Untitled Shonda Rhimes Project

Shonda Rhimes’ self-creation. It is based on the New York Magazine article, “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People.” The story is about Anna Delvey and how she fooled many Manhattanities into funding her exquisite lifestyle.

Untitled Bridgerton Project

This project is based on Julia Quinn’s best-selling novels on the Bridgerton family. The series will be led by Chris Van Dusen, who was also the executive producer of Shonda Rhimes’ hit show, “Scandal.” It will be based a feminists look at romance and sex in Regency England.

“Reset: My Fight for Inclusion and Lasting Change”

This new series is based on Ellen Pao’s memoir on sexism in the Silicon Valley boys club. Shonda Rhimes believes she will write this series herself.

“The Residence”

“The Residence” is based on Kate Andersen Brower’s nonfiction book entitled, “The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House.” The series will portray residence staffers of the White House and the lives they share with the first families.
